Description
Mechanical Support for Compatible Floor Jacks
Traditional jack stands can be difficult to position when you are working on a vehicle. They may take up valuable floor space, interfere with access around the vehicle, or be difficult to place near the lifting point. This is where the 3.5 Ton Jack Rod comes into play.
The 3.5 Ton Jack Rod provides a compact mechanical support for compatible floor jacks. It installs between the front axle area and the lifting arm of the jack, helping hold the jack at the selected height if hydraulic pressure is lost.
Its adjustable design extends from approximately 8 inches when compressed to 14 inches when fully extended. The locking mechanism can be positioned in 1-inch increments, allowing the Jack Rod to accommodate different lifting heights and service situations.
Designed for Four-Wheel Floor Jacks
This 3.5 Ton Jack Rod is designed for compatible floor jacks that have two front wheels and a front axle or cross-pin that can properly support the tool.
It is not designed for floor jacks that use one large front roller instead of two separate front wheels. Review the product images and compare the attachment points on your jack before ordering.
The load capacity of the complete lifting setup is always limited by its lowest-rated component. Do not exceed the rated capacity of the Jack Rod, floor jack, vehicle lifting point, or any other equipment being used.
The 3.5 Ton Jack Rod is Compact and Convenient for Shop Use
The Jack Rod is useful for collision repair facilities, tire shops, automotive service departments, restoration shops, mobile technicians, and home garages. Its compact size makes it easier to store than a traditional jack stand and keeps it readily available when a compatible floor jack is being used.
Because it remains with the floor jack, technicians do not need to find a separate storage location for a large support stand or carry additional equipment across the shop.
Confirm Compatibility Before Ordering
Before purchasing, verify that your floor jack has:
- Two separate front wheels
- A compatible front axle or cross-pin
- A rated capacity of no more than 3.5 tons
- Enough clearance for the Jack Rod to be installed correctly
Always use the product on a firm, level surface. Place the vehicle in park or in gear, engage the parking brake, chock the appropriate wheels, and follow the lifting instructions provided by the vehicle, floor jack, and Jack Rod manufacturers.
Browse our other auto body shop equipment, view the DJS Universal Dolly System, or contact DJS Fabrications if you need help confirming whether the Jack Rod will work with your floor jack.
