A dedicated car parts rack helps collision repair shops keep removed vehicle components together throughout teardown, repair, refinishing, and reassembly. Instead of placing parts on the floor, leaning panels against walls, or spreading components throughout the shop, technicians can assign a mobile rack to a specific repair order and move the complete job between departments.
The DJS Car Parts Rack provides approximately 22.5 square feet of total shelf space across three tight-mesh shelves. Each shelf measures 45 inches wide by 24 inches deep and is rated to hold up to 150 pounds. The close mesh design helps support both large components and smaller items that could fall through shelves with wider openings.
Mobile Auto Body Parts Storage
The rack is equipped with rolling casters so technicians can move vehicle parts between teardown, body repair, paint preparation, and reassembly areas. Folding and Nesting Shop Storage
When the rack is not being used, its shelves can be folded upward. Multiple car parts racks can then be nested together to conserve floor space. This makes the system particularly useful for production collision centers that need several racks during busy periods but do not want empty racks occupying valuable work areas between jobs.
The included hooks provide convenient storage for parts that are easier to hang than place on a shelf. The bumper mounts can be used for larger components that may not fit securely on the standard shelving.
Organize Parts by Repair Order
For improved workflow, assign each rack to one vehicle or repair order whenever possible. Place the repair-order paperwork in a visible location, keep small fasteners and clips in a labeled container, and return every removed part to the same rack after inspection or repair.
